Inaugural Public Meeting

The Shape Mumford Growth Board hosted its inaugural Public meeting, on September 14 th , 2023. The event was held at St. Agnes Church Hall - 6903 Mumford Road, Halifax, as an in-person meeting, the purpose of which was to provide:
- an update on the West End Mall Future Growth Node Project (WEMFGNP)
- the recent and ongoing activity of the Society
A number of citizens were in attendance. Two staff members from Halifax Regional Municipality, Regional and Community Planning were also in attendance to provide updates on the status of the WEMFGNP.
One of the HRM staff members indicated the Shape Your City Halifax, WEMFGNP site had been updated to include the completed
" West End Mall FGN: Phase 1 What We Heard Report” (16.7 MB) (pdf), here.
A lively discussion ensued after several SMG Board Members presented updates on their recent activities as part of their ongoing engagement with experts in smart urban design. See the SMG Board presentation, here.
