SMG is a grass roots Society advocating for the design and development of a liveable community of the West End Future Growth Node, with reasonable density, well-serviced community design, green spaces, affordable housing and suitable infrastructure, municipal services, transit and schools. Our vision is for a development that results in a complete community - a place where people can and want to live work and play.

HRM has received technical studies and a revised proposal from the new landowner of West End Mall (PRIMARIS REIT) to move forward with planning for a portion of the West End Mall Future Growth Node (FGN). These materials are being reviewed by various internal and external agencies such as HRM transportation planning, parks and recreation, transit, and Halifax Water.
